Third-party Investment Opportunities

OMERS Investment Management Inc. was established in 2009 following legislative authority granted to OMERS Administration Corporation to provide third party investment opportunities and services through an authorized subsidiary to eligible clients. OMERS Investment Management was established as a legal entity separate from OMERS Administration Corporation for this purpose, but is part of the OMERS Worldwide group.

Third party investment opportunities and services that OMERS Investment Management has been granted authority to offer and perform include, among other things, offering investment arrangements that provide eligible clients with a return based on the performance of all or part of the OMERS Primary Plan fund’s investments.

Eligible clients include Canadian and foreign public and private sector pension plans, governments and their agencies, colleges, universities and their endowments, and Canadian registered charities.

OMERS Investment Management has obtained securities registrations in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and Quebec, in each case, as an exempt market dealer in connection with its provision of these products and services.
